Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population including adults, pediatrics, and behavioral health patients
• Manage and monitor drips including sedation and vasoactive medications
• Read, measure, and interpret telemetry strips accurately
• Maintain a 4:1 patient ratio within an 18-bed emergency department
• Float across multiple campuses as required
• Adhere to department dress code (navy blue solid scrubs)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 36 months of Emergency Department / Emergency Room experience
• Experience caring for both pediatric and adult patient populations
• Experience with drips including sedation and vasoactive agents
• Experience reading, measuring, and interpreting telemetry strips
• Active Iowa RN license or active Compact/Multistate RN license at time of submission
• Active certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA or ARC), PALS (AHA), and TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for behavioral health patients in an emergency setting
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
