The Content Restoration Estimator assesses damage to residential and commercial contents, develops accurate, timely estimates, and works closely with insurers, adjusters, and internal teams to set scopes that are complete, compliant, and profitable. Success in this role means building trust through precise documentation, clear communication, and on-time deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Build comprehensive estimates using industry-standard platforms (e.g., Xactimate/X1) and CRDN pricing standards; include line-item details, labor, materials, and any specialty processes.
• Develop clear scopes of work and repair methodologies aligned with industry and carrier guidelines; identify non-restorable vs. restorable items.
• Collaborate with insurance adjusters, TPA portals, restoration partners, and internal operations to align on scope, coverage, pricing, and timelines.
• Submit estimates within service-level timelines; manage revisions, supplements, and approvals promptly.
• Provide pre-job handoff to operations, clarifying scope, assumptions, and special handling requirements; support project teams during execution as needed.
• Track estimate status, hit rates, profitability, and cycle times; proactively resolve bottlenecks.
• Maintain compliance with carrier/TPA documentation standards, quality control, and safety protocols.
• Stay current on pricing, carrier requirements, and best practices in contents restoration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of estimating experience in restoration, insurance contents, or related field (textiles, electronics, art/valuables handling preferred).
• Proficiency with Xactimate (or equivalent estimating software); Xactimate Level 1–2 certification a plus.
• Solid understanding of insurance claims workflows, TPA portals, coverage basics, depreciation, and industry standards.
• Strong inspection, analytical, and documentation skills with high attention to detail and itemization accuracy.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with homeowners, adjusters, and internal teams.
• Valid driver’s license

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in textiles restoration, electronics diagnostics/triage, fine art contents handling, or pack-out/pack-back operations.
• IICRC certifications (e.g., Fire & Smoke, Water Restoration) or related credentials.
• Familiarity with inventory tools, barcoding, photo documentation systems, and CRM/TPA platforms.

Performance Metrics

• Estimate turnaround time and SLA adherence.
• Approval and supplement rates; accuracy of scopes vs. actuals.
• Gross margin targets and job profitability.
• Documentation quality and carrier/TPA compliance.
• Customer and adjuster satisfaction scores.
