Charlotte's Best Nanny Agency is helping a family in Myers Park find a Temporary, Full-Time Nanny for their 1-year-old son. The nanny would typically be needed Monday-Friday, 8/9:00 am-3/4:00 pm, for approximately 35 hours per week. The family asks for some scheduling flexibility (for example, swapping a weekday for a weekend day, or shifting hours to allow for a date night when Dad is home).

The best nanny for this family would be patient, trustworthy, nurturing, and reliable, with previous experience caring for young toddlers. This candidate should be confident in supporting early developmental milestones and the daily needs of the child. The ideal candidate is energetic, actively engaging, highly focused on learning and development, and takes initiative to keep their son busy. Each day, the nanny will engage the family's son through reading, music, age-appropriate toys, stroller walks, and outings throughout the community. The parents request that their son be home in his crib for all naps. The family lives in an area walkable to parks, and walks to nearby parks would be encouraged.

Dad is home occasionally, but travels frequently. Mom works from home in a dedicated office and will be in and out throughout the day between meetings, so the nanny should be comfortable working alongside a present parent while maintaining a smooth, independent routine, and should expect Mom to spend some time with the child during the day. The family is looking for a nanny who will bond with their child and foster an enriching environment each day.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the child (Feeding, Changing, Napping)

• Engaging with the child on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the child both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the child

Household Duties Include (Child is first priority):

• Child's laundry and changing the child's sheets weekly

• Child's meal prep

• Unloading/loading dishwasher

• Wiping down kitchen counters

• Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the child

• Emptying the diaper pail

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte's Best Nanny Agency

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver's license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Nanny should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus

• Must be fully vaccinated in accordance with AAP recommendations/public school requirements.

Start Date, Salary, and Benefits:

• This position starts September 21st, 2026, and ends in May 2027

• Legal pay is offered at $28 an hour, negotiable depending on experience

• Continued pay while the family is away

• One week of paid time off

• Paid Mileage for driving on the Job

• Paid Major Holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
