General Construction Technician Lead

Small Town Property Revival is looking for a hands-on Lead Contractor to join our growing team. This is not a position where you stand back and supervise. We are looking for someone who leads by example by working alongside the crew every day, completing installations, solving problems on site, and ensuring every project is completed to our standards.

As a Lead Contractor, you will be responsible for performing residential and commercial repairs, remodeling, and installations while leading a small crew of one to three team members. You will manage the job site, communicate with customers when needed, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with quality craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands on construction, repair, remodeling, and installation work daily.
• Lead by example by working alongside your crew throughout each project.
• Complete projects from start to finish while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Install, repair, and troubleshoot a variety of residential and commercial building components.
• Read work orders and execute projects according to company standards.
• Coordinate daily job site activities and keep projects moving efficiently.
• Train and mentor crew members on proper installation techniques and safety practices.
• Ensure all work meets company quality expectations and customer satisfaction.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and construction equipment safely.
• Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment.
• Identify issues in the field and make sound decisions to keep projects on schedule.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times.
• Communicate project progress, material needs, and job updates with the office.

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Own basic hand tools and appropriate work gear.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
• Comfortable working on ladders, roofs, crawl spaces, and in varying weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three or more years of hands on residential or commercial construction experience.
• Experience in remodeling, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, trim work, fencing, decks, siding, or general handyman services.
• Previous experience leading a small construction crew while remaining actively involved in the work.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building practices.
• Ability to solve problems independently and make sound decisions in the field.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects efficiently.
