Join our dynamic team at New Patterns ABA VA, where every voice is heard as we work together to discover each individual's potential with compassionate, flexible, and collaborative in-home and community-based ABA therapy. We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Behavior Technicians to join our team.

About the Role:

As a Behavior Technician , you will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans for clients. You will provide 1:1 therapy to clients in-home and community-based settings, implement individualized ABA treatment plans, collect and record data on client progress and behaviors, and assist in the development of behavior intervention strategies. Additionally, you will participate in team meetings and training sessions, maintain a positive and supportive relationship with clients and their families, and adhere to ethical guidelines and standards of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 therapy to clients in-home and community-based settings
• Implement individualized ABA treatment plans designed by a BCBA
• Collect and record data on client progress and behaviors
• Assist in the development of behavior intervention strategies
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions
• Maintain a positive and supportive relationship with clients and their families
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and standards of the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Current RBT certification through the BACB (preferred)
• Reliable transportation
• Previous experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities (preferred)
• Flexibility, empathy, patience, and a solution-oriented, client-centered approach
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, timeliness, and effective time management skills
