HR Business Partner

The University of Alabama is hiring an HR Business Partner I. This role acts as the main HR contact for assigned units, collaborating with HR teams to apply HR principles and lead initiatives in classification, compensation, recruiting, performance management, and employee relations. The HR Business Partner I supports strategic priorities and ensures consistent policy application across the assigned areas. Highlights Main responsibilities include serving as the primary HR contact for colleges or divisions, collaborating with HR teams, and executing initiatives supporting strategic priorities. Manages areas such as classification, compensation, recruiting, onboarding, rewards, professional development, performance management, employee relations, engagement, and workforce planning. Requires proficient knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and ability to implement compliant HR solutions. Must have strong communication, organizational, coaching, and problem-solving skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree with four years HR experience in multiple functional areas or master\'s degree with two years HR experience. Preferred qualifications include HR experience in higher education, experience in similar environments, and HR certification. The role is salaried with a pay range from $56,600 to $73,600 (Pay Grade E9). Position is within the HR Business Partners department (506132). Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
