Intellectual Property/Paralegal Intern (Year-Round)

About the Role As an Intellectual Property Intern, you will support the company’s IP function by assisting with patent prosecution, prior art research, and portfolio management. Seeking a student available to start as soon as possible on a year‑round, part‑time basis (30 hours a week or less). The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. Responsibilities Administrative management of inventions from the IDM to the patent granting. Preparation of the files for filing patent applications worldwide (FR, US, EP, PCT, CN, …). Administrative follow‑up of these files, including management of deadlines for filing documents, responses, and requests to the relevant Intellectual Property Offices/National Attorneys. Management of incoming mail (emails, mail and Patent Office mailboxes). Updating the IP database, including collecting, verifying, and recording relevant data. Checking the effect of each data capture, particularly regarding deadlines for paying annual maintenance fees, requesting examination, etc. Management of deposit accounts within some IP Offices. Filing, storage and e‑storage of the IP files and documents. Qualifications Currently a student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Legal field, Engineering, or a related field.
