Associate Director, Succession and Assessment Strategy

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks an Associate Director to lead enterprise succession planning, executive assessment strategy, and workforce analytics. This role designs leadership continuity frameworks, manages talent data systems, and partners with senior leaders to build executive readiness pipelines.

Responsibilities

Design and evolve enterprise succession planning strategy and frameworks across executive and critical roles
Own succession data governance, reporting, and analytics to provide visibility into bench strength and readiness
Lead assessment strategy and design, including tool selection and coaching vendor management
Partner with HR Business Partners and functional leaders to identify critical roles and capability needs
Develop dashboards and insights supporting executive decision-making and workforce planning conversations

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required; Master's in HR, Organizational Psychology, or related field preferred
7+ years in succession planning, executive assessment, workforce planning, or talent disciplines
Strong expertise in succession frameworks, critical role identification, and leadership readiness evaluation
Experience with executive assessments and coaching provider management
Workday familiarity, reporting capabilities, and talent analytics proficiency
Ability to partner with senior leaders and facilitate high-stakes talent discussions
Analytical, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills

Compensation: $166,010 - $201,159 base
