Join the college of Nursing as a Program Assistant I and become an essential member of our Undergraduate Nursing team. We're seeking a detail oriented and service focused professional who enjoys supporting students, faculty, and staff while helping ensure the smooth operation of our academic programs. This position is located in Rapid City, South Dakota. The College of Nursing has a long history of exceptional nursing education, and this is recognized through its designation as a Center of Excellence in Nursing Education by the National League for Nursing. Job Responsibilities:

• Provides administrative support for the academic programs and day-to-day operations of the College of Nursing Rapid City site.
• Serves as the primary point of contact for the Rapid City location, working collaboratively with Academic Shared Services, the Director of Nursing Operations, and the College of Nursing Dean's Office to support accounting, hiring, purchasing, and other administrative functions.
• Supports testing center activities, including exam proctoring and scanning of completed examinations, while providing excellent customer service and operational support to faculty, staff, students, and campus partners.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of: Principles and practices of public administration South Dakota State University and Board of Regents policies and procedures General administrative methods and processes, including human resources functions such as I-9 verification, interview scheduling, and onboarding support, and facilities management Financial and business processes in collaboration with Academic Shared Services and the Director of Nursing Operations Testing center procedures, operations, and best practices
• Skill & Ability to: Exercise independent judgement in evaluating situations and making decisions Communicate information clearly, concisely, accurately, and efficiently Plan and project future functional needs in terms of facilities, class operations, faculty support, events, and supplies Interpret objectives and develop practical applications Microsoft Office Suite applications Manage confidential information Provide customer service, responding to unique circumstances and direct inquiries to appropriate individuals Learn and effectively use computer systems, software applications, and office equipment

Required License: Valid driver's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
