General Description:

Recovery Center of Niagara is an organization focusing on the care and treatment of those suffering from substance and alcohol use disorder that has partnered with DailyPay for same day access to funds! Employees no longer have to wait until pay day to get their earnings. Our medical facility is located in Newfane and provides each step of care from the detox, medication assisted treatment, rehab and recovery therapy. We are seeking a self-motivated Counselor to join our team! The Counselor will manage a caseload of patients admitted to the Program. Counselor will perform essential counseling functions including intake, orientation, assessment, treatment planning, referrals, individual and group counseling, case management, reporting and record keeping and care coordination.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Maintain and manage a caseload.
• Weekly individual and group counseling sessions (as assigned).
• Performs assessment and intake as needed.
• Assist with the development of clinical treatment tracks that are diversified in language and culture that will meet the treatment and service needs of patients and families.
• Assist with weekly utilization reviews based on established clinical and administrative protocols.
• Assist with monthly skills based workshops relative to chemical dependency.
• Assist with the review, process and distribute incident reports based on established agency-wide protocol as directed.
• Provide input for employee reviews as requested.
• Assist in the preparation of weekly case conference and case reviews.
• Assist with the assessment and intake process.
• Assist with the clinical discharge process.
• Responsible for adhering to a standard of maintaining 10 billable units of service per day based on caseload.
• Record individual patient data in NYC HRA STARS as required weekly/monthly.
• Monitors patient toxicology testing.
• Maintain a clean work environment.

Non-negotiables:

• Addiction counseling: 1 year (Required)
• Applicants must have a CASAC, CASAC-T, LMHC, LMSW, or LCSW

Schedule:

This position follows one of the following schedules:

• Sunday-Thursday
• Tuesday-Saturday

Employees work an 8-hour shift within our counseling service hours of 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

The schedule includes:

• One evening shift per week (either 10:00 AM-6:00 PM or 11:00 AM-7:00 PM)
• Remaining shifts maybe scheduled during morning hours
