Patient Scheduler

Job Description
o Schedule hospital based services and procedures in accordance with provider orders and organizational guidelines.
o Obtain and track prior authorizations from payors for scheduled services.
o Review documentation to confirm completeness and authorization requirements.
o Communicate with payors, provider offices, and internal departments to resolve authorization issues.
o Update appointment and authorization status accurately in Epic.

Skills and Requirements
1+ years of experience in hospital scheduling and/or prior authorization.
Familiarity with authorization workflows (verification, submission, tracking, documentation, etc.)
Effective communication skills for interacting with payors, providers, and internal teams.
Epic experience within scheduling or patient access (preferred)
