Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience. Endoscopy or surgical experience is preferred. Description: The unit consists of 3 beds and has a staff of 11 members. The team during the day consists of 1 charge nurse, 8 nurses, and 3 technicians. Night shift and weekend call staff rotate. The typical patient ratio is 1 nurse and 1 technician per patient procedure. The equipment used includes an electronic medical record system. Typical procedures performed on the unit include endoscopy, colonoscopy, EMR, double balloon AVM, necrosectomy, TIF, overstitch, cryotherapy, ESO flip, ENDO flip, Endorotor, EUS, ESD, mucosal resections, GPOEM, RFA, and Cellvizio WATS 3D. The ideal candidate should work well in a fast-paced team setting. The schedule typically consists of 4 ten-hour days with rotating weekends. Travelers should be prepared to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with other staff members.
