Computer Technician - 2nd Shift
Chandler, AZ | Onsite | $20/hr | Monday-Friday, 1:30 PM-10:00 PM | Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire
About the Role
We're hiring an entry-level Computer Technician to build, configure, and test desktop computers and servers from the ground up. If you have experience building PCs, repairing computers, upgrading hardware, or troubleshooting computer systems , this is an opportunity to turn those hands-on skills into a full-time technical career.
You'll work directly with computer hardware, installing components, loading operating systems, testing completed systems, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
What You'll Do
- Build desktop computers and servers from an empty chassis
- Install motherboards, CPUs, RAM, SSDs, hard drives, power supplies, GPUs, and other internal components
- Install and configure operating systems, drivers, firmware, and software
- Test completed systems and perform quality checks
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Replace defective components and document repairs
- Follow build instructions, ESD procedures, and quality standards
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Hands-on experience building PCs, repairing computers, upgrading hardware, or troubleshooting computer systems
- Understanding of common PC components and how they work together
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred:
- CompTIA A+ certification
- Server hardware or server-building experience
- Experience building computers from a blank chassis
- Experience installing and configuring Windows, drivers, or firmware
