Job Description

The Logistics Manager leads a customer-focused logistics operation by supporting regional revenue and staffing goals, building and developing a high-performing team, and overseeing end-to-end customer service, order management, and inventory-related processes. This role ensures efficient shipping and receiving, accurate order entry and returns processing, and effective use of ERP, CRM, and other business systems to deliver timely, accurate, and professional service.

Responsibilities

• Support the regional leadership team in achieving annual revenue, profit, and staffing plans by effectively managing logistics and customer service operations.
• Hire, train, and retain a productive team, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and skill sets to meet business needs.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop Customer Service Representatives and other assigned positions, providing clear direction and support.
• Deliver regular performance feedback, conduct formal evaluations, and implement performance improvement plans when necessary.
• Manage daily scheduling, workload distribution, and staffing coverage to ensure consistent, high-quality customer service.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and customer-focused team culture that promotes accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee all incoming customer inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional responses.
• Manage order entry, returns processing, and customer account updates, maintaining accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, including warehouse shipping, inventory handling, and logistics workflows.
• Monitor inventory levels and support inventory control processes to maintain accurate records and support operational efficiency.
• Use SAP, CRM, ERP, and other systems to enter, track, and maintain customer and order data with a high degree of accuracy.
• Prepare, track, analyze, and report on key operational and customer service metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, to analyze data, prepare reports, and support decision-making across logistics operations.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external requirements related to logistics, customer service, and data management.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience with inventory and inventory control in a distribution or warehouse environment.
• Demonstrated customer service skills, with the ability to manage high volumes of inquiries across multiple communication channels.
• Proficiency with SAP and CRM systems for managing customer and order information.
• Accurate and efficient data entry skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Intermediate or higher-level skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with spreadsheets, formulas, and data analysis.
• Intermediate or higher-level skills with distribution ERP systems to manage orders, inventory, and logistics workflows.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including team supervision, coaching, and performance management.
• High level of integrity and commitment to ethical, transparent business practices.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications for communication, documentation, and reporting.

Work Environment

This position follows a standard Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing predictable daytime hours. The role operates in a logistics and distribution environment that relies on ERP, SAP, CRM, and Microsoft Office tools to manage orders, inventory, and customer interactions. You will work closely with customer service and warehouse teams in a professional setting focused on accuracy, efficiency, and responsive service.

This is a Permanent position based out of Bossier City, LA.

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Bossier City,LA.
