One of our clients needs an IT Project Manager for a full-time position.

• Position: IT Project Manager
• Location: Remote
• Clearance: Not Required

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of software implementation projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
• Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, testing, integration, deployment, and post-implementation support (hypercare/O&M)
• Manage project scope, risks, issues, and changes, ensuring proactive mitigation and resolution
• Facilitate cross-functional coordination across business, technical, and vendor teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery
• Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and key decisions
• Drive Agile or hybrid delivery approaches, including sprint planning, backlog management, and use of Jira or similar tools
• Ensure adherence to project governance, standards, and best practices
• Support system integration efforts, including coordination across multiple platforms, data flows, and external vendors
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, execution oversight, and defect resolution
• Oversee change management, training, and user adoption activities to ensure successful implementation outcomes
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, deliverables, and performance expectations
• Support environment setup and maintenance across development, testing, and production environments
• Contribute to continuous improvement by developing reusable project assets, templates, and best practices

Minimum Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience managing IT projects with a focus on software implementation and system delivery
• Proven experience leading large-scale, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders in public sector or highly regulated environments
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches
• Experience managing full project lifecycle activities including testing, deployment, and post-go-live support
• Demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and dependencies
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience using project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar platforms
• Ability to translate business requirements into actionable project plans and coordinate technical delivery
• Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with ERP or enterprise platforms such as SAP (S/4HANA), SAP Concur, Oracle, PeopleSoft, or similar systems
• Exposure to financial systems, HR systems, or enterprise data integrations
• Familiarity with APIs, middleware, system integration concepts, and data migration
• PMP, Agile (Scrum/SAFe), or similar certification preferred
• Ability to travel occasionally to client sites as needed (estimated once per quarter)
