PVCC welcomes, encourages, and supports the diversity of our students, faculty, and staff members and seeks to attract and retain individuals who reflect our diverse community. Job Title: Writing Tutor Department: Admin Learning Lab Employment type: part-time (wage) Work schedule: 29 hours or less per week, variable schedule Purpose: Writing Center tutors collaborate with students to develop their writing across disciplines, as well as their skills in other subjects in the humanities taught at Piedmont Virginia Community College. Writing tutors are also embedded in composition courses to foster student success and build connections with the Writing Center. Duties and Responsibilities: Tutors work with students to develop their thinking, writing, and reading skills and may also work with students in foreign languages, humanities, and social sciences.
