Simply Kids Dental is a Colorado Springs pediatric practice built on one idea: every child should leave feeling braver than when they walked in. We're looking for an experienced Dental Assistant who's great chairside and even better with a nervous five-year-old.

You already know your way around an operatory: setting up, charting, taking X-rays, and staying a step ahead of the doctor. We'll teach you the kid part: tell-show-do, distraction tricks, and celebrating the first-timer who finally climbs into the chair. You'll work alongside an award-winning team that likes working together and has the laughs to prove it.

The quick facts

• $21–$25/hour, depending on experience

• Monday–Thursday. Fridays and weekends are yours.

• Paid time off and dental benefits

• Required: 1+ years of dental assisting experience

• Pediatric experience is a plus but not required. We'll train you.

Compensation:

$21 - $25 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Get the patient area ready for any examinations or procedures by preparing equipment like x-ray machines, anesthetics, and impression materials and sanitizing and laying out dental instruments
• Record each patients treatment information during their visit and ensure dental records have the most current information
• Tell patients what oral hygiene steps they need to take in order to prevent infection after dental procedures
• Work with dentists and dental hygienists during examinations and procedures by assisting with dental instruments and assure the patients’ mouths are comfortable, dry, and accessible to the dentist
• Provide patients with oral hygiene advice to make sure they maintain pristine dental care a healthy smile

What You'll Do

• Greet our little patients (and their grown-ups) with warmth and make them feel safe from the second they sit in the chair
• Assist chairside during exams, cleanings, fillings, and other pediatric procedures, anticipating needs and keeping things moving smoothly
• Use "tell-show-do" and other kid-friendly techniques to explain treatment in a way that's fun, not scary
• Take digital X-rays and intraoral photos
• Set up and break down operatories, sterilize instruments, and follow all infection-control protocols
• Keep accurate patient records and chart notes
• Manage inventory and help keep our supplies stocked and ready
• Coach parents on brushing, diet, and home care so those healthy habits stick
• Pitch in wherever the team needs you; we all wear a few hats around here

Qualifications:

• Have the ability to give patients exceptional care and service
• Able to perform basic computer and data entry tasks
• Exemplary interpersonal, communication, and multitasking skills
• Associate’s degree from an accredited dental assistance program required

What We're Looking For

• 1–2 years of chairside dental assisting experience (pediatric experience is a big plus, but we're happy to help you grow into it)
• A genuine love for working with children and families

• Patience, energy, and a good sense of humor
• Reliability, a team-first attitude, and great communication. Willing and able to show up on time and ready to work when scheduled.
• Comfort with digital charting and dental software (EagleSoft is a bonus)
