Contract (26 Weeks) | Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM | 12-Hour Shifts | Expected 72 hours per pay period (0.9 FTE) | Weekend and holiday availability required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 10-bed Observation Unit serving adult patients (18+ years) meeting observation status criteria, including chest pain, asthma exacerbation, TIA, abdominal pain, urinary issues, blood sugar management, DVT/PE, cellulitis, post-procedural monitoring, and minor trauma
• Monitor patients using cardiac monitoring equipment and document care using Cerner EHR
• Maintain an approximate patient ratio of 1:5 in a unit supervised by the ED Director
• Demonstrate NIH Stroke Scale Competency and Telemetry/ECG Competency in daily clinical practice
• Float as needed to Medical, Cardiac, and Neuro-Ortho units
• Work within a 225-bed specialty care hospital offering services across Heart & Vascular, Cancer Care, Brain & Spine, Rehab, Behavioral Health, and more

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale Competency required
• Telemetry/ECG Competency required
• Minimum 1 year of medical/surgical experience
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel consideration

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Telemetry experience strongly preferred
• TNCC or ENPC certification (optional but valued)
• Experience with Cerner EHR
