Shuttle Driver (Class A)

Transport products from the production plant to the distribution center and packaging material/ingredients from the distribution center to the production plant. Unload pallets. Job Duties and Responsibilities Transport products from the production plant to the distribution center and packaging material/ingredients from the distribution center to the production plant Unload the pallets using an electric pallet jack and stage them for the warehouse staff to store. Packaging materials and ingredients are usually transported by pallets, but occasionally, may hand load single items of packaging material and ingredients Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety, DOT, and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity and accidents and injuries Attend all driver workshops and training sessions The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Other duties may be assigned as required Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent Tractor/trailer experience, within the last five years preferred Must meet minimum age requirements Meet all DOT requirements Meet Dairy Farmers of America Motor Vehicle Record requirements Certification and/or License - Current CDL (Class A) license in state of residence; current tanker endorsement if needed Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Understanding of DOT transportation regulations related to lawful operation Able to work safely and recognize sudden hazards and adjust accordingly Able to use equipment needed for the job Able to communicate clearly and effectively Able to interact positively and work effectively with others (interpersonal skills) Able to be proactive in seeking solutions and taking appropriate steps for problem-solving Able to be punctual, follow directions, and meet deadlines Able to interpret and apply company policies Able to adapt and manage to change effectively Able to perform task and duties with limited supervision Able to follow through on day-to-day responsibilities Must be able to read, write and speak English HOURS- Monday evening - Saturday Morning Backup DSD Routes PAY- $31.85/hour Requirements An Equal Opportunity Employer including Disabled/Veterans Pay Range 31.85 An Equal Opportunity Employer including Disabled/Veterans We endeavor to make this site accessible to any and all users.
