Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity seeks a multi-licensed Staff Pharmacist for a specialty pharmacy focusing on complex infusion therapies. Based in the Nashville, TN area, this role offers a contract-to-hire position with a prompt start date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver clinical patient management for individuals with hemophilia, immune deficiencies, autoimmune disorders, and other conditions requiring infused medications.
- Manage therapy-specific nuances, including factor replacement therapies, emicizumab, and a variety of subcutaneous and intravenous infusions.
- Educate patients and their families on drug administration, side effect management, medication adherence, and safe home handling.
- Coordinate care by collaborating effectively with physicians, nurses, and in-house care coordinators.
- Assist reimbursement specialists in navigating insurance plans, securing prior authorizations, and identifying financial assistance programs.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Tennessee Pharmacist License is required.
- Arkansas Pharmacist License or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
- Experience with CareTend software highly preferred; training is available.
- Willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
- Strong clinical knowledge of specialty pharmacy and infused drug therapies.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Very low prescription volume, allowing a focus on patient care and education.
