Electrical Technician

job summary:
Electrical Technician for a leading manufacturer of custom processing equipment based in Louisville, KY. This position works under the direction of Project Engineers during testing preparation, conducting tests, and analysis.This position is responsible to set equipment up for tests using work orders.

This is a contract to hire opportunity.

responsibilities:

• Set equipment up for tests using work orders and confirm the proper paperwork is complete.

• Handle Safety Data Sheet Materials properly.

• Assist Project Engineers in running tests and collecting data.

• Install instrumentation on equipment as necessary.

• Perform troubleshooting on PLCs, controllers, motors, and other 3-phase components.

• Complete inventory audits on test materials, equipment, and supplies.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems

• Ability to read and comprehend mechanical and electrical schematics.

• Knowledge of controllers, control valves, transmitters, and other process instrumentation

Preferred:

• Lean experience
