We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team and support day-to-day accounting operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for invoicing, collections, and providing backup support for accounts payable, while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong customer/vendor relationships.

Qualifications:

• Strong Excel skills required, including ability to work with spreadsheets and data efficiently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a team-oriented environment

Duties

• Perform vendor setup procedures, including verification and collection of W-9 and provide any sales tax exemption forms.
• Perform customer setup procedures, including verification of any sales tax exemption forms and providing certificates on insurance.
• Generate weekly and monthly customer consolidated billings
• Process vendor payments
• Processes vendor statements, ensuring reconciliation of all credits and outstanding balances
• Review credit card bills for appropriate coding prior to submission to the ERP
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasting.
• Complete pre liens when necessary
• Assist in collections activities, including following up on outstanding balances and resolving discrepancies
• Enter accounts payable by comparing invoices to purchase orders and resolving any discrepancies
• Provide supporting documentation for internal or external audits.
