Lead Full Stack Developer

Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Full Stack Developer to drive the architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise web applications across both frontend and backend technologies. This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring a strong combination of software engineering expertise, solution design ownership, and team leadership.

The ideal candidate has recent experience leading the design of complex enterprise applications, making key architectural decisions, defining engineering standards, and mentoring development teams while remaining actively involved in development and delivery.

This individual will partner closely with Product, Architecture, QA, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions. They will be expected to own technical direction, lead design discussions, evaluate architectural tradeoffs, and guide modernization efforts across the application portfolio.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end solution design and architecture for enterprise web applications.

Drive technical design decisions across frontend, backend, database, integration, and cloud components.

Design and implement scalable applications using .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, Angular, and SQL Server.

Own API architecture, governance, integration patterns, and security standards across systems.

Lead modernization initiatives, application upgrades, and architectural transformations.

Evaluate architectural tradeoffs and recommend technical solutions aligned with business objectives.

Establish and enforce engineering standards, coding practices, and development guidelines.

Conduct design reviews and provide technical mentorship to development teams.

Partner with Product Owners, Architects, QA, and business stakeholders throughout the SDLC.

Lead troubleshooting and performance optimization efforts across UI, APIs, databases, and integrations.

Support Agile ceremonies, technical planning sessions, estimation, and delivery management.

Ensure application security, scalability, reliability, and maintainability across solutions.

Drive CI/CD adoption, cloud implementation strategies, and operational excellence initiatives

Skills and Requirements

10+ years of enterprise software development experience.

Proven experience leading technical design and architecture for enterprise applications.

Strong hands-on development experience with C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core.

Strong frontend development experience with Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

Deep experience with SQL Server, including data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.

Experience designing and governing enterprise APIs and system integrations.

Experience defining application architecture patterns and technical standards.

Demonstrated ownership of major technical decisions from design through implementation.

Strong understanding of application security including OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, OWASP, and secure coding practices.

Experience leading teams, mentoring developers, conducting design reviews, and influencing engineering direction.

Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments using Git and Jira.

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical solutions and architectural tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Azure cloud experience (AWS or GCP also considered).

CI/CD experience using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.

Docker and Kubernetes experience.

Messaging and event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus).

Application monitoring and observability tools (Application Insights, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, etc.).

Experience in healthcare, insurance, financial services, or other regulated environments.

Mobile application development experience.

EHR/EMR application experience.
