Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Shift Details

• Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Block scheduling is never promised or guaranteed.
• Floating required to all units except Behavioral Health and ER (unless holding).
• Scrub color: Navy.

Requirements

• Will accept local candidates (less than 75 miles); local rate applies.
• Up-to-date resume documenting 2+ years of experience in ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU, including travel experience.
• 4–5 years of ICU experience preferred; 2 years minimum.
• Travel experience required.
• Skills checklist matching specialty.
• Driver's license with address matching demographics.
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• NURSYS report for license verification with an active NY RN license and all active RN licenses.
• RTO must be included at the time of submission.
• EMR experience required: EPIC.
• Experience with CRRT and Prismaflex required.
• Heart experience highly preferred.
• Floating required.

• Unit: ICU
• Total beds: 42
  • East: 20 beds
  • West: 22 beds
  • Neuro/Med: 22 beds
  • CTICU: 6 beds
  • Surgical/Trauma: 14 beds

Common Patient Diagnoses

• Neuro/Med: Strokes, sepsis, altered mental status (AMS), neuro intervention (TCAR), respiratory failure, CHF, and post-STEMI.
• CTICU: Cardiovascular surgery, cardiogenic shock, and AAA surgery.
• Surgical/Trauma: Trauma and major postoperative surgery.

• Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
• CRRT (Prisma or NxStage)
• Ventriculostomy
• Intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring
• Targeted temperature management (TTM) – Arctic Sun
