About the Internship

Where a day’s work is life-changing. Over 12 weeks, you’ll join a product engineering team and own a scoped project addressing a real client, provider, or business need. You’ll contribute to the technical approach and production code, work cross-functionally, and ship a solution with meaningful impact.

With support from a dedicated engineer Mentor and Engineering Manager, you’ll receive regular guidance, candid feedback, a midpoint review, and a final project review. As one of 10 interns in Grow’s founding New York City cohort, you’ll also participate in technical learning, leadership conversations, networking, and social experiences—and help shape the program for future interns.

What We Look for in an Intern

• You’re building a strong technical foundation: You’re currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, with an expected graduation date of Fall 2027 or Spring 2028. Through coursework or hands‑on experience, you’ve developed familiarity with data structures, algorithms, software design, and at least one general-purpose programming language. Experience with Python, TypeScript, React, or similar technologies is helpful but not required.

• You use AI tools with judgment: You’re comfortable using AI-assisted development tools to generate, debug, and verify code while thinking critically about correctness, privacy, security, and impact. (Claude, Cursor, Copilot, or similar)

• You show potential through practice: You’ve applied your skills through projects, research, hackathons, open‑source contributions, student organizations, an internship or co‑op, or other hands‑on experiences.

• You bring a high bar and high care: You value quality and attention to detail while treating teammates with kindness, honesty, and respect.

• You build for the people we serve: You stay close to client, provider, and health‑plan needs and bring urgency to work that can improve access to mental healthcare.

What You'll Work On

• Own a meaningful project that goes into production, becomes part of our product, and improves the client and provider experience.

• Participate in planning, stand‑ups, code reviews, demos, and retrospectives as a member of a product team

• Investigate bugs, evaluate tradeoffs, and use data and customer context to improve your solution

• Communicate progress, risks, decisions, and learnings throughout the internship

• Present your project, technical approach, and impact at the end of the program

Program Details & Intern Benefits

• Employment Type: Summer Internship, Full Time, Exempt

• Program Dates: June 1–August 20, 2027 [12 weeks]

• This is a hybrid role with the expectation to work onsite from our NYC hub location 3 days per week [Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday]

• Base Compensation: $50/hr

• Housing Stipend: $5,000

• Meal Benefit [$25 per day DoorDash credit for onsite days]
