Job DescriptionJob Description
- Operate excavators safely and efficiently while naintaining awareness of surrounding personnel, utilities, structures, and equipment
- Perform demolition work with precision and control to prevent damage to surrounding areas
- Excavate for foundations, utility trenching, and underground installations according to plans and grade requirements
- Complete trenching work safely while monitoring trench conditions and maintaining proper clearances
- Perform backfilling and compaction to project specifications
- Operate equipment with smooth controls while maintaining high productivity and quality workmanship
- Read and understand site plans, grade stakes, and utility markings
- Communicate effectively with ground crews, supervisors, and other operators to ensure safe and efficient workflow
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
