Guaranteed Hours: 8 and 10 hr. shifts - 40 hrs. in one workweek. 3, 12 hr shifts - 36 hrs. in one workweek. 4, 12 hr. shifts - 48 hrs. in one workweek. Special Requirements: Labor, induction, scheduled C sections, unscheduled c sections, C Section with salpingectomy, SROM, PPROM, hypertension, preeclampsia, antenatal pts for various reasons, triage pts, CADD epidural pumpsbirthing and peanut ballsAlaris IV pumpsPhillips monitoring wired and wirelessPeriwatch ( adding vigilance in June) SteadysHillrom labor beds Draeger Radiant warmers Vein lightv scan Unit Information: We follow AWHONN staffing guidelines for patient ratios as best we can. This usually means 1 : 1 for active labor. 1: 2 if not in active labor. Can mean 1 : 3 triage or antepartum pts. If it gets super busy, each nurse may have to take an additional patient as needed.
