Azure Solutions Architect

The Azure Solution Architect is responsible for working with Sales teams to qualify and support Azure Cloud Services sales opportunities. The Azure Solution Architect plays a client-facing role that interprets and translates client requirements into a solution that can be configured from a standard set of offerings. The Azure Solution Architect is required to develop a solution for the infrastructure and/or application transformation and operational model, skills and team structure required to support the client's IT Operations.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to RFI / RFP's, prepare solution documentation and presentations.
• Develop the Solution Plan, including solution approach, scope, estimates, contingency, costs, schedule, delivery model, resource/sourcing plan, assumptions, and risks, in accordance with Client Delivery Methods for Solution Planning for Infrastructure.
• Create winning proposals by closely working with sales teams, internal delivery organizations, 3rd party vendor ecosystem.
• Apply technology expertise (Cloud, Datacenter services, Network and Service management) and innovative ideas to architect/design solutions, evaluate multiple options to meet client's business requirements.
• Value Creation - Leverage our company's assets and capabilities to develop compelling business propositions that meet both client and our company's commercial requirements.
• Manage and work with a team of dynamic solution architects and collaborate with other subject matter experts and Global delivery centers to create compelling and differentiated infrastructure solutions and value propositions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with the account teams and client stakeholders.
• Strong sense for quality and presentation, ability to work in hierarchical organization.
• Conduct and follow through the solution review and approval process; and provide sales support to accomplish the closure.
• As needed, support delivery lead in significant re-planning effort during delivery. When there is scope change, or at the end a stage, where significant re-planning is required.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in IT, including 3+ years of experience in Cloud and Data center migration projects as solution architect.
• TOGAF / ArchiMate Certification or equivalent (preferred).
• In-depth understanding of compute, storage, network components including backup, monitoring and DR environment requirements.
• Experience and understanding of large-scale applications portfolio in enterprise-wide environment (including migration of on-premise workloads to the cloud) required.
• Has a keen interest on opportunities for cloud governance, cloud migration and cloud modernization.
• Has a clear understanding of usage and applicability of Azure Services like PaaS offerings, Containers, Serverless, iPaaS and DevOps.
• Understanding of Microsoft Azure's roadmap and strategy towards migration and modernization space.
• Deep domain expertise of cloud application development solutions (e.g. IaaS, Serverless, API Management), container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry), continuous integration technologies (e.g. Jenkins, Spinnaker, Azure for DevOps, Chef, Puppet), web application server technologies, cloud application design, software architecture and practices (design, development and deployment, Agile, SCRUM, ALM), breadth of technical experience, and technical aptitude to learn and adjust to new technologies and cloud trends required.
• Hands on experience with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) and Terraform templates and scripting tools, including PowerShell, Azure CLI, JavaScript, Shell scripts, Python, or similar languages.
• Familiar with Security Architectures and how to govern/guide solutions based on such reference architectures, standards, and policies.
• Extensive Knowledge on executing Complex Large scale Datacenter Transformation and Cloud Migration initiatives.
• Develop solution for Cloud Transformation and Lean Cloud Operations for MS Azure.
• Support pre-sales activities including engaging prospects, conducting discovery workshops, developing point of views/solutions/scoping, writing proposals, engaging partners, and supporting sales and marketing enablement.
• Provide advisory services to existing and new customers on Azure Cloud adoption, demonstrate new services lines to customers, support delivery team and guide them towards cloud enablement and Optimization initiatives.
• Must be able to communicate with CTO and CXO level audience by demonstrating Cloud Migrations and Digital Transformations.
