Growing together.Position Details:Location: 378 Maple Ave, Shrewsbury, MA, M 01545Department: Adult MedicineSchedule: Full time, 38.75 hours/weekly, Monday through Friday, hours between 8:00AM - 5:00PMThe medical assistant performs a variety of duties involving clinical and administrative patient care while adhering to the standards of the practice. Provides care to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Assists in the examination and treatment of patients by taking and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperatures, height, weight, etc. Assists physician and others with simple to moderate clinical/diagnostic procedures such as urine cultures, pregnancy tests, throat cultures, etc. Prepares treatment rooms. Performs a variety of clerical functions to support office functions. Performs related duties to facilitate the efficient utilization of computer-based information. This position performs a full range of medical support services while ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.Primary Responsibilities:Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment & instrumentsRoom patients, obtain health history and check vital signsDocument patient care using electronic medical record softwarePerform phlebotomy, urinalysis and handle patient specimen samplesAdminister medications and perform injections/immunizationsAssist providers with minor, in-office procedures and perform point-of-care testingYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Medical Assistant diploma, technical certificate or certification OR 1+ years of experience performing the critical skills of a medical assistant after on-the-job training OR current enrollment in an accredited Medical Assistant program OR EMT certificationPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $18.00 to $32.00 per hour based on full-time employment.
