Role Description The Assistant Quality Assurance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based through out the US in several locations. This position supports the Quality Assurance Manager in implementing and maintaining quality control procedures across infrastructure rehabilitation projects, including coatings, safety on structural steel work. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing project plans and specifications, conducting site inspections and audits, monitoring work for compliance with standards and client requirements, and documenting findings in quality reports. The role collaborates closely with project managers, field supervisors, and safety personnel to resolve quality issues, recommend corrective actions, and ensure consistent use of approved materials and methods. The Assistant Quality Assurance Manager also helps train team members on quality processes, assists with non-conformance investigations, and contributes to continuous improvement of QA and Safety documentation, checklists, and workflows. Qualifications Experience with quality assurance or quality control in construction, industrial painting, concrete repair, or related infrastructure rehabilitation work. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, standards, and project documentation, with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Solid organizational, documentation, and reporting skills, including maintaining inspection and safety records, logs, and QA/QC checklists. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with project managers, field crews, clients, and vendors. Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in industrial and construction environments; commitment to a safety-first culture. Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email) and familiarity with digital tools for project tracking or QA documentation. Relevant education or training in construction management, engineering, quality management, or a related field; certifications in QA/QC or AMMP/NACE CIP LEVEL 2 or higher is required. Ability to work on-site across the US Region, including traveling to project locations, performing field inspections, and working in varied outdoor conditions.
