Respiratory Therapist – Yuma, AZ Why is this Respiratory Therapist role different At Apria, you’ll experience a unique blend of clinical autonomy, meaningful patient interaction, and supportive team collaboration. This role offers a mix of time in the branch and time in the field, giving you the chance to develop both patient‑facing clinical skills and strong workflow independence. You'll also join a close‑knit branch team that works together every day to make sure patients receive the highest quality care. As a Respiratory Therapist, you’ll provide essential respiratory care, equipment setup, patient education, and ongoing clinical support. You’ll play a key role in ensuring safe transitions from hospital to home. You will report directly to the Branch Manager, and work closely with a collaborative team including Coordinators, RTs, Techs, and clinical leaders. Schedule Hours: Full-time: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM Part-time: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM Overtime: As needed Check in at the branch daily; flexibility based on patient needs and hospital discharges (2577 S Avenue 2 1/2 E, Suite B, Yuma, AZ 85365)) Hybrid-style role: ~80% in the branch, ~20% in the field On‑Call transparency Rotation is area‑based, not branch‑based Coverage area includes Yuma, AZ and surrounding communities, including El Centro, CA. Rotation frequency: Once every other Tuesday. Weekend call‑outs are rare and generally involve telehealth support Mileage and time start from home during on‑call rotation Personal vehicle required (mileage reimbursed) Salary range $26–$36 per hour. The actual compensation offered may vary based on job related factors such as experience, skills, education and location. What you’ll do Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow‑ups Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs Collaborating with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non-invasive ventilation. Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating condition. Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry and gathering vital signs. Performs other duties as required. What we look for Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active RT license Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 – 50 lbs. Valid driver's license Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation Education Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations Registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Hold a current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy. Hold a current CPR Certification. Hold all applicable licensure in good standing for all states of practice.
