Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current SLP license (or eligibility for licensure) for Alabama
• Experience or comfort working with students in grades K-12, specifically grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12
• Knowledge of IEP processes and case management
• Ability to conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and track progress
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Prior experience in a school-based setting is preferred, but not required

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct therapy services to students across a broad grade range
• Evaluate speech, language, and communication disorders and provide comprehensive assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address a variety of student needs
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress, treatment plans, and compliance requirements
• Offer support to teachers and staff regarding speech and language strategies for classrooms
• Engage families in the intervention process through regular updates and resources
