• Create individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy aimed at enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Forge collaborative relationships with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to ensure an integrated treatment approach.
• Educate patients and their families to support progress beyond the therapy setting.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the recovery journey.
• Accurately document patient interactions and developments in compliance with state, federal, and institutional guidelines.
• Stay abreast of advancements in the field through ongoing education and professional collaboration.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution is required.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.

Licensure and Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Therapist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment commencement.
