As one of the fastest-growing teams in Arcadis, we have immediate opportunities in rapid growth Construction Monitoring roles.As an estimating subject matter expert within the Construction Monitoring team, you’ll play a key role in helping clients make informed decisions and effectively manage cost risk throughout the project lifecycle, from project inception to completion.By joining our Development Advisory teamas aConstruction Monitoring / Due Diligence Consultant, you will get the experience and personalized learning support you need to take your career as fast and far as you want.Our team is located across the US and provides expert support to international lenders and investors. With significant funds seeking investment opportunities, demand for the team’s expertise is high.Our professionals help investors understand their investments, how best to manage / mitigate risks, and how to maximize equity returns.Role accountabilities:Independently undertake, lead and deliver Technical Due Diligence and construction phase monitoring reports for funder and investor clients.Act as subject matter expert lead on items related to budget and cost.Benchmark and otherwise market test development budgets including superficial review and detailed rate analysis.Assess project financial performance and provide commensurate risk advice including approving drawdowns from the agreed fund.Review and catalogue financial security being provided by the Borrower (e.g.Warranties, Third Party Rights, Performance Bonds, Cost Overrun Cash Deposits, etc.).Review loan documentation to identify and monitor clauses for compliance and risk reports.Assess project sites, construction progress and supplementary delivery data to assess project risk, impact and mitigation options.Lead and co-ordinate multi-disciplinary teams in the delivery of specialist risk reporting.Communicate effectively ensuring all information is available for the successful completion of projects.Be client facing and be able to engage with clients on a regular basis to build relationships as part of a business development strategy.Represent the company in a professional and diligent manner at all times.Qualifications & Experience:5+ years experience in Project Monitoring, Cost Estimating, Cost Management preferredBachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, equipment, and market pricing.Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation.Ability to confidently present cost information and recommendations to clients and executive stakeholders.Proficiency with industry-standard cost estimating and project management tools.Experience delivering data centers or industrial / manufacturing facilities beneficialKnowledge and understanding of property development, market trends in procurement and funding of projectsSuccessful track record working in a client facing roleAdvanced IT Literacy requiredRelevant professional qualifications such as MRICS etc. are highly preferredWhy Arcadis?We can only achieve our goals when everyone is empowered to be their best.
