Travel MRI Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 12-week acute care assignment, requiring 2+ years of experience and proficiency with Siemens MRI equipment.

Job Details

• Acute care hospital setting within the Imaging/MRI department,
• Averages approximately 18 scans per day,
• Uses Siemens Avanto 1.5T; experience on this unit is preferred,
• Charting performed in MEDITECH,
• Day shift position with alternating weekly schedules: Week 1 is 6:30 AM-3:00 PM, Week 2 is 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (Mon-Fri),
• Shift lengths of 8, 10, or 12 hours depending on schedule,
• Call rotation is required: one week at a time (Mon-Fri 5:00 PM-6:30 AM, Sat-Sun 6:30 AM-6:30 AM) with a 1-hour response time (30 minutes to travel, 30 minutes to have the patient on the table),
• May be asked to flex out on low-census days when not on call,
• Position floats between two campuses approximately 16 minutes apart, as needed,
• No additional modalities required,

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience,
• Active BLS (AHA) certification required,
• ARRT (M) - Certified MRI Technologist credential required; pending certifications will not be accepted,
• Active state license required if applicable; pending licenses will not be accepted,
• Familiarity with Siemens Avanto 1.5T preferred,
• MEDITECH EMR experience is a plus,
• A driver's license is required for consideration,
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire,

Additional Information

• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates previously employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered,
• May be asked to precept staff as needed by the unit,
• Call-outs are strongly discouraged and could result to early termination,
• Orientation is 12 hours,
• Profiles are reviewed directly by the unit manager
