Job Description
SPT - Instrumentation Coordinator

Schedule

1st Shift (Days) - 6:00 AM-2:30 PM; Regular schedule: Monday-Friday, rotating weekends and occasional scheduled holidays.

Assignment Details

Travel assignment required.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of sterile processing/reprocessing experience.
• CBSPD or CRCST certification required; IAHCSMM/HSPA acceptable.
• Experience with high-level disinfection, instrument decontamination/assembly, and sterilization processes (Sterrad and steam).
• Tracking system experience, specifically with Censitrac.
• Charting system preference: Epic.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination and cleaning of instruments including drills, scopes, and DaVinci systems.
• Assemble instrument sets/trays for various surgical procedures.
• Manage sterilization processes and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Serve as the liaison between the sterile processing department and the operating room.
• Standardize and track instrument trays across multiple sites.

Compliance / Notes

Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only). Ohio fingerprinting process required immediately after booking.
