Transportation SpecialistProHealth is seeking a Transportation Specialist to join our growing team. The Transportation Specialist is responsible for driving a company vehicle on a set route to deliver and pick up mail and pick up specimens and deliver back to the lab for processing. The Transportation Specialist will work together as a team with all employees of ProHealth Physicians in an effort to improve its services to our patients. The incumbent will assume responsibilities for completing route assignments in a timely fashion.Location: 950 Yale Avenue, Ste 1 - 6 Wallingford, CT (home site)Schedule: This is a part-time position, 20 hours per week, Tuesday-Friday 4pm-8PM, Saturdays 11:00AM-3PM. Schedule is subject to change based on the needs of the business.Primary Responsibilities:Deliver and pick up mail and supplies to the officesPick up specimens and store appropriately for transportFill out route sheet completely and accuratelyGo to each stop on the route sheet and check every specimen box for specimensUse Logistics phone and ensure the phone # is on the sign in sheet; answer or return phone calls in a timely mannerComplete sign in sheet accurately with return time and # of specimensEnsure specimen count matches what the processors countAbility to adapt to changes in scheduling due to weather, holidays or trafficOperate a company owned vehicle following all state lawsResponsible for performing a safety check of the vehicle, ensuring all items necessary for proper storage are packed before departure; this includes ice for the cooler, dry ice for frozen specimens, cooler bag to pick up specimens; route sheet and information binder are all in the carEnsure all materials are accounted for and deliveries to proper destinationRepresent PHP Laboratory when dealing with Offices and Quest stationsMaintain a clean vehicle inside and outsideComfortable lifting up to 20lbsRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma/GEDAccess to reliable transportation & valid US driver's licenseCurrent Motor Vehicle record in good standingPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience as a delivery driverPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
