Building Inspector

We are seeking a Facility Condition Assessor (FCA) to support construction activities and lifecycle asset evaluations for a large-scale industrial facility. This individual will be responsible for assessing building systems, identifying deficiencies, and providing detailed documentation to support capital planning, construction execution, and ongoing facility maintenance. This role works closely with construction managers, engineers, and project stakeholders to ensure facility conditions are accurately evaluated and aligned with project scope, safety standards, and operational goals. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive facility condition assessments of industrial buildings, including structural, architectural, and MEP systems Conduct field inspections during pre‑construction, active construction, and post‑construction phases to evaluate asset conditions Identify deficiencies, code compliance gaps, and maintenance needs across building systems Document findings through detailed reports, including condition ratings, repair recommendations, and cost estimates Support construction teams by validating existing conditions, reviewing scope alignment, and identifying risks Evaluate contractor work for adherence to specifications, codes, and quality standards Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to prioritize repairs and capital improvements Utilize digital tools and assessment platforms to complete structured audits and maintain accurate records Assist with lifecycle analysis, asset tracking, and long‑term facility planning initiatives Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards #J-18808-Ljbffr
