Responsibilities Provide strategic contribution, guidance and operational oversight for production and distribution activities across all Hawaiian Islands. Coordinate plant operations, compressed gas production and cylinder repackaging statewide. Oversee day‑to‑day operations at the primary Oahu hub while maintaining strong communication with outer‑island facilities. Analyze statewide production schedules and inventory to plan team capacity and ensure seamless supply‑chain flow. Safely maintain plant facilities and equipment for gas pumping and repackaging. Ensure strict adherence to federal, state (HIOSH), local and company policies and regulations. Introduce measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and product quality while improving working conditions. Maintain accurate time and production records and approve overtime at sustainable levels. Promote a culture of safety, provide regular safety training and documentation, and investigate and report all injuries and accidents within 24 hours. Maintain plant cleanliness and orderly appearance indoor and outdoor. Support and partner with supervisors across the islands to provide guidance, inspiration and strategic direction. Provide coaching and timely feedback, identify individuals needing support to reach performance goals. Nurture talent, solve work‑related problems and manage employee relations including grievances. Champion onboarding and cross‑training of new team members to maintain production during personnel shortages. Guide and support operations personnel in hiring, training, motivating, planning and aligning on associate issues to meet performance targets. Develop capital‑expenditure budgets and coordinate capital expenditures upon approval. Coordinate safety procedures and compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, FDA, state and local regulations and Union agreements. Create, implement and revise operational practices as needed. Ensure adequate cylinder supply to meet customer needs and review production orders to plan cost‑effective operations. Resolve operational, manufacturing and maintenance complexities to minimize costs and delays. Compile, store and analyze production data to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. Motivate team members to achieve goals and recommend personnel actions. Ensure safety rules are strictly observed, and safety training is scheduled, conducted and documented. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university. Industry Experience: 10+ years in an industrial gas/packaged gas plant environment, petrochemical or related industries in operations, engineering or related activities. Leadership Experience: Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role with general management and leadership experience within the Industrial Gas business. Teamwork: Extensive coordination experience in a multi‑team environment. Safety & Compliance: Significant training and compliance with applicable federal, state and local regulations (OSHA, DOT, EPA, FDA, CGMP). Adaptability: Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines; flexible hours as needed. Task Management: Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment, remain detail‑oriented, maintain organization and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Preferred Qualifications Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to write reports, correspond and present information. Customer Service: Customer service‑oriented with professional interaction with the public. Technical Skills: Proficiency in the Google Suite. Testing: Ability to pass pre‑employment and random drug testing. Advanced Education: Degree in Engineering and/or an MBA.
