Local Jacksonville, FL manufacturing companies are looking for Fiberglass Production Workers and Sheet Metal Fabricators to join their team! You will assemble and operate various types of machinery and equipment.

Position Overview

The Fiberglass and Sheet Metal Fabricators are responsible for fabricating commercial duct pipe and fiberglass pipe products. The ideal candidate has prior manufacturing or machine operation experience, mechanically inclined, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and production efficiency.

Schedule

• 1st Shift
• Monday–Friday
• Occasional Saturday overtime may be required

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Fabricate commercial duct pipes and fiberglass pipe products according to specifications and production schedules.
• Assemble machinery and equipment as needed.
• Inspect finished products to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and production instructions.
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and report major equipment concerns.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery.
• Maintain and clean production equipment and work areas.
• Organize and stage completed components for assembly or shipping.
• Complete work orders and production documentation accurately and on time.
• Assist other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely production.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry 40-75 pounds regularly.
• Handle and maneuver large pipe products.
• Stand and work on feet for up to 10 hours per day.
• Perform repetitive motion and continuous movement in a production environment.
• Able to work in confined spaces.
• Comfortable working with fiberglass materials.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience in manufacturing, machine operation, or production required.
• Sheet metal, ductwork, pipe, or fiberglass fabrication experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with manufacturing machinery, equipment, and technical drawings.
• Ability to follow production instructions and measure accurately.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to completing production goals.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality workmanship.
• Team-oriented and willing to support across departments.
• Safety-conscious and dependable.
