Overview

Ask Sage(BigBearAI company) is seeking Customer Education Manager to become Ask Sage's definitive platform subject-matter expert through aggressive, self-directed upskilling, and owns the customer training curriculum and content library for the platform. The role multiplies its reach by equipping Forward Deployed Engineers and other customer-facing technical staff to deliver training at scale, and supports customer conversations as a subject-matter expert.

This is a build-it role for one owner. The manager designs the curriculum, produces the content, delivers the high-visibility sessions, and runs the measurement behind them, across virtual, in-person, and self-paced modalities. Audiences are government and commercial customers operating in regulated environments - end users, power users, agent builders, administrators, and executives - so clarity, security awareness, and the ability to teach nontechnical audiences matter as much as platform depth.


What you will do

• Master the platform. Achieve and maintain expert-level mastery of the Ask Sage platform, its agents, plugins, and use cases.
• Design the curriculum. Design a scalable, role-based curriculum for end users, power users, agent builders, administrators, and executives.
• Build the content library. Build a reusable content library, including labs, exercises, prompt libraries, guides, and recorded modules, across virtual, in-person, and/or self-paced modalities.
• Deliver the high-visibility sessions. Lead complex or high-visibility customer workshops, onboarding sessions, and briefings, with strength in virtual delivery.
• Scale delivery through the field. Train, coordinate, and provide quality assurance for Forward Deployed Engineers and other customer-facing staff who deliver training.
• Run the program. Own program operations - learning paths, scheduling, enrollment, and completion tracking - and lay the foundation for a certification or badge track as the program matures.
• Support customer conversations. Support Sales and Customer Success as a subject-matter expert on customer calls, briefings, and demos.
• Stay current with the product. Partner with Product and Engineering to keep content aligned with releases, and feed customer learning friction back to the product team.
• Measure and refresh. Track adoption, completion, and time-to-productivity; refresh content as the platform and AI landscape evolve.

What you need to have

• Four to six years in customer education, technical training, enablement, or instructional design, preferably for a B2B software or SaaS product.
• Proven curriculum design and delivery at scale across multiple modalities, with strength in virtual delivery.
• Hands-on content production: screen recording and video editing, course authoring, and learning-platform administration (Camtasia, Articulate, or comparable tools).
• Genuine interest in GenAI and proven ability to self-upskill rapidly to an expert level; direct Generative AI experience is not required.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills across technical, non-technical, and executive audiences.
• Self-starter who builds programs from the ground up in a fast-moving, remote-first environment.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
• Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret clearance.

What we'd like you to have

• Hands-on exposure to Generative AI tools, prompt engineering, or agent-based workflows.
• Experience standing up or maturing a customer academy, learning platform, or certification program.
• Experience enabling field-facing technical teams.
• Federal, DoD, or national-security customer experience.
• Active DoD security clearance at the Secret level or above.
• Instructional design credentials or content-authoring experience.
