Job Summary JBS Live Pork is looking for a talented Live Pork Veterinarian. This role will be a member of the multiplication region leadership team and responsible for the health of 26,000 sows and their offspring, which produce replacements for the commercial regions. The veterinarian must be able to interpret and respond to production‑limiting diseases by developing, training, and executing effective strategies to support regional success while working collaboratively with the JBS veterinary team. Essential Job Functions Investigate, assess, formulate, and present solutions to address health issues Provide visit summaries and recommendations to the production team Conduct routine health checks Implement treatment and vaccination strategies Ensure regulatory compliance Perform diagnostic testing and interpret results Build and maintain effective relationships with consulting veterinarians and industry partners Monitor biosecurity compliance Maintain VCPR with production locations Schedule and conduct health‑related technical training such as postmortem labs, biosecurity training, and vaccination training Stay current on the latest industry developments, research, and best practices Participate on various internal teams to provide guidance on industry requirements All other duties as assigned Required Qualifications DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) from an accredited school Eligible for veterinary licensure and USDA accreditation in Missouri and Arkansas Competent in management of swine diseases and a working knowledge of farrow‑to‑finish management Ability to work well in group settings and independently Excellent communication skills On‑farm activities expected multiple days per week Working Conditions / Environment General: Both climate‑controlled office and environmentally controlled confined livestock facilities Farm visits may involve dust, odors, and other hazardous conditions Summer temperatures can exceed 100°F for the entire scheduled workday Winter temperatures can drop below 0°F for the entire scheduled workday Exposure to various elements inherent to agriculture production Frequent standing, walking, sitting, use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, occasional climbing or balancing, occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, frequent speaking and hearing, occasional tasting or smelling Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 25 lbs; occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, near moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration Noise level usually moderate but can be extreme at times Compensation and Benefits Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment Paid Time Off: Sick leave, vacation, and 6 company‑observed holidays 401(k): Company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule Better Futures Program: Online classes or select 2‑Year Community College tuition paid for you or your dependents Leadership Fundamental Program: Opportunity to grow your career through leadership training Incentive Pay: Eligible to participate in the company's annual bonus plan; amount varies and is subject to standard terms and conditions of the incentive program Travel Regular day travel, occasional overnight travel EEO Statement EOE, including disability/vets #J-18808-Ljbffr
