Overview
Registered Nurse – Operating Room, Saint Helena, California. Travel assignment starting 08/24/2026 for 8 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,148-$2,215 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour days (7:00 AM–7:00 PM). The position is in a short-term acute care setting with perioperative responsibilities and collaboration across the surgical team.

Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for surgical patients from preoperative through postoperative phases, in coordination with surgeons and anesthesia providers.
- Assess patients, develop and implement an individualized perioperative care plan, and monitor patient progress and outcomes.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of OR staff and assistive personnel; coordinate care with multidisciplinary team members.
- Administer medications, monitor equipment, maintain sterile technique, and ensure adherence to safety and infection control standards.
- Participate in discharge planning and patient/family education to support continuity of care after the procedure.
- Document care accurately and efficiently in the patient record; communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California (state of practice)
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR/acute care nursing experience
- BLS certification; ACLS or ARC-ALS as required
- Epic electronic medical record experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital OR setting and collaborate with the surgical team
- Vaccination requirements per policy and compliance with organizational safety standards
