Dentist PositionAs a Dentist with the Department of Corrections (DOC), you will have an opportunity to deliver trusted care with strong support from experienced staff. This role allows you to focus on patient needs while enjoying a balanced schedule. You will play a key part in improving oral health outcomes for the inmate population at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Houtzdale. Your work will help strengthen the overall standard of care within the facility.This position ensures that inmates receive proper dental care through thorough evaluations, treatments, and follow up instruction. As a Dentist, you will perform the following duties:Clinical Care: Conduct periodontal exams and provide restorative and preventive treatmentsTreatment Planning: Create treatment plans based on medical history and diagnostic resultsStaff Leadership: Guide dental assistants and hygienists in meeting required standardsOperational Review: Evaluate schedules and documentation to maintain quality serviceInventory Control: Oversee supplies, equipment, and safety requirementsGeneral Duties: Support daily operations through assigned tasksInterested in learning more?
