Senior Family Office Accountant

A Wealth Management Firm is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join their team as a Senior Family Office Accountant. Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day accounting and financial reporting across multiple entities and accounts. Perform general ledger activities, including transaction review, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end reporting. Coordinate cash management and payment activity, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded and properly authorized. Prepare periodic financial statements, management reports, and account analyses. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and liquidity planning across various entities. Review financial activity and investigate discrepancies to maintain accurate and complete books and records. Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors on accounting, tax, and financial reporting matters. Review work prepared by junior team members and provide guidance as needed. Support special projects, financial analysis, and process improvement initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA preferred. 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Relevant accounting experience within a family office, investment firm, professional services firm, or similar environment. Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and account reconciliations. Experience working with multi-entity or complex account structures preferred. Strong Excel skills and comfort working with accounting and financial reporting systems.
