Description: The Sterile Processing Technician will work in a sterile processing environment. Position requires floating between units. On-call duty is not required. Weekends are required. The block schedule will include Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Knowledge of sterilization processes, high-level disinfection, and proper selection of wrapping materials is essential. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining equipment such as crash carts, IV pumps, and PCA pumps. Experience with steam sterilization testing and monitoring is preferred. The role involves assembling instrument sets and trays, proper labeling, and organizing complex surgical trays. Candidates must demonstrate competency in the use of washers and sterilizers. Robotics experience is greatly preferred. The working environment involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Candidates will be responsible for adhering to established procedures for sterilization and disinfection. Participation in ongoing education and training modules is expected. Emergency procedures and protocols should be followed diligently. Overall, the technician must ensure compliance with safety and health regulations within the facility.
