TEARDOWN TECHNICIAN

Job Summary Frazer seeks a Teardown Technician to disassemble emergency medical vehicles as part of the refurbishment and retrofitting process. The role reports to the Aluminum Assembly Production Supervisor and requires safe, methodical work in a structured environment. Key Responsibilities Systematically dismantle interior and exterior vehicle components. Remove cabinetry, electrical components, HVAC units, lighting, medical equipment mounts, and related assemblies. Label, catalog, and document removed parts for refurbishment, reuse, or replacement. Identify structural, electrical, or mechanical issues during teardown. Follow procedures to prevent damage to salvageable components. Tear down and rebuild damaged components, including welding, fabricating, cutting, and installing sub‑assemblies such as air conditioner and generator. Lay out, position, align, cut, shape, and install aluminum components to repair body modules. Utilize tape measure, square, power drill, and various hand and power tools. Use solvents, cleaners, adhesives, and adhesive removers as required. Read and interpret blueprints, instructions, service manuals, and verbal directions. Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and the Frazer Safety programs. Perform secondary duties: basic welding functions, spot checks for quality standards, notify supervisor of discrepancies, and maintain a clean work area. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Detail oriented and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Pass a post‑offer drug screen. Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with vehicle systems (12 V and 120 V electrical). Experience with aluminum modular assembly is a plus. Preferred Skills Prior experience in teardown or automotive restoration. Basic welding proficiency. Ability to prioritize work and balance team and individual responsibilities. Strong time‑management and organization skills. Work Schedule Mon – Fri, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM. Late afternoon, evening, or weekend hours may be required as needed; schedules may change to accommodate production demands. Compensation Base pay $20.00–$26.00 per hour, depending on education, certifications, and experience. Benefits Weekly paycheck. Health care insurance.
