Key Qualifications:

• Active state Physical Therapist license required
• Previous experience in a school setting is preferred
• Skilled in developing and implementing individualized therapy plans for children
• Comfortable collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals
• Ability to adapt treatment approaches for diverse student needs
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ physical abilities and needs to design effective therapy interventions
• Create and deliver therapeutic activities tailored to each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP)
• Monitor and document progress, making modifications as needed to maximize student success
• Consult with educators, support staff, and families to ensure consistency in therapeutic strategies across settings
• Educate staff on best practices for supporting students’ physical development in the classroom
• Maintain compliance with school policies and state regulations
