Position Summary With minimal supervision, use AutoCAD to produce complete detailed drawings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Use AutoCAD to produce final drawings from marked‑up drawings, sketches or written instructions. Become familiar with product inspection tools and measurement of actual parts to produce drawings. Use electronic document control system for logging in and checking out drawings. Other Duties and Responsibilities Maintain competency in the drafting tools and techniques used to produce drawings. Become proficient with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and current drafting standards. Become familiar with other drafting packages, such as Inventor and SolidWorks. Provide guidance and technical support to CAD Operator‑I. Review and check drawings produced by CAD Operator‑I. Provide drafting support as requested by peers, engineers and project managers. Perform other duties assigned by supervisor or lead draftsperson. Qualification Requirements Associate’s degree or drafting certificate with at least 2–4 years of drafting experience; or at least 4 years of related experience without a degree; or at least 5 years of related experience without a certificate. Intimate knowledge of AutoCAD. Basic math skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is desirable. Physical Requirements Prolonged sitting.
