Our Rotor Shop team plays a key role in supporting the repair and maintenance of rotating equipment. As a Rotor Shop Machinist, you will contribute to the successful execution of machining operations by ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with safety standards.

Fueling Your Passion

As a Rotor Shop Machinist , you will perform precision machining activities while interpreting engineering drawings, operating machine tools, and maintaining adherence to established quality and safety procedures.

As a Rotor Shop Machinist, you will be responsible for:

• Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Performing machining operations in accordance with specifications and quality standards.

• Applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles during setup and machining activities.

• Calculating and setting machining parameters, including speed, feed rates, coolant flow, depth of cut, and cutting angles.

• Operating and adjusting machine controls to achieve accurate machining results.

• Entering, retrieving, and editing computerized machine control data when required.

• Conducting routine inspections to ensure equipment performance and product quality.

• Following Baker Hughes HSE policies, quality standards, and operational procedures at all times.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have High School Diploma or equivalent and 4+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Have experience with rotor manual machining specially with gas turbine rotor machine.

• Have demonstrated intermediate skill level (Aligning, Runouts, Turning, and Grinding on at least two of three machines: Manual Lathe, and VTLs.

• Have experience supporting Rotor shop and Machine shop based on customer needs. Steam rotors, Gas rotors, Cases, Gas components, Aero components, and Value rack repairs.

• Have ability to operate manual lathe for rotor lathe work.

• Have experience in Gas turbine repair (HSPT, GE10's, Fr3, Fr5, Fr6, and F7) Rotors and component machining is a big plus.

• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM (Overtime and weekend work available)

• 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM (Overtime and weekend work available)
